Missions
Our church supports many
mission projects throughout the year.
- Angel Tree - This project provides Christmas gifts to children in our local area.
- Camp Big Sky
- This mission of Camp Big Sky is to provide accessible fishing, camping,
boating and other related outdoor opportunities to children and adults
with disabilities.
- Campus Crusade of Christ -
Their purpose is to help fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the
Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their
faith and sending them to win and build others; and helping the Body of Christ
do evangelism and discipleship.
- Summer church camps - We help provide registration fees for
children wanting to attend summer camp.
- Children's Home -
Their mission is giving children a childhood and future by protecting them,
teaching them and healing them, and by building strong communities and loving
families.
- Compassion International
- Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry
that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and
physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled
Christian adults.
- Church World Service - Church World Service was born in 1946, in the aftermath of World War II. Seventeen denominations came together to form an agency "to do in partnership what none of us could hope to do as well alone." The mission: Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, comfort the aged, shelter the homeless.
- Family House - A hospital hospitality house
- Food Pantry - We participate in the Farmington Food Pantry. The Farmington Food Pantry is managed cooperatively by the Farmington Council of Churches and is hosted by the New Hope Fellowship Church at 1102 N State Route 78 in Farmington.
- Galesburg Rescue Mission - The Galesburg Rescue Mission and Women's Shelter is a charitable, non-denominational Christian organization.
- Gordon Behrents Senior Center - The goal of the senior center is to provide an array of services/supports based on client choice to enhance and maintain the individual's dignity, independence, and quality of life, prevent premature and unnecessary long term care placement and provide respite to families and caregivers.
- Harvest Home - This is our local festival that is held on the third weekend in August.
- Heifer Project - Heifer International's mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth.
- Kemmerer Village - As a Presbyterian Child Care Agency, their mission at Kemmerer Village is to provide a wide range of quality services, which meet the needs of children, youth and their families.
- Military Ministry - Campus Crusade - Our church helps provide Bibles for our soldiers.
- Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center - Safe Harbor Family Crisis Center is a non-profit community agency that provides confidential help to individuals who are experiencing violence in their relationships.
- St. Jude - St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. With research and patient care under one roof, St. Jude is where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do science more quickly.
- Vacation Bible School
- Vernacular Video - Vernacular Video Mission International partners with and equips ethnic Christians who proclaim the Gospel through video and other media in their common language.
- WCBU - Free radios for the blind
